“Our job in agreeing to represent a client is to clearly identify the client’s concerns; to provide counseling and create a reasonable strategy for achieving attainable goals; and then to implement the plan through aggressive advocacy.”
– Jeanne Sockle
I am honored to be the managing partner of Morris – Sockle, and working closely with our dedicated staff to provide skilled legal representation and a quality experience to our divorce and family law clients. I have over 25 years of complex civil litigation experience in Washington State Courts and pride myself on my results-oriented approach to representing my clients. It is always my goal to provide legal representation and counsel while showing my clients respect, compassion, and understanding for their particular circumstances.
I am a graduate of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) APR 6 Law Clerk Program, a challenging work/study alternative to traditional law school. Before successfully passing the Bar Exam and becoming licensed as a Washington attorney in 2003, I worked for thirteen years as a paralegal. My undergraduate degrees are a Bachelor’s Degree from The Evergreen State College and an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Maryland.
I am a licensed member of the Washington State Bar Association and am admitted to practice in United States District Court Western District of Washington. I have served leadership roles in the Washington State Bar Association and in other legal associations. I am an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice, a member of the American Association for Justice, the King County Bar Association Family Law Section, Public Justice, and the Thurston County Bar Association.
My life experience also includes raising four wonderful sons and serving over two decades as a military spouse. In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, adventure travel, sailing, snorkeling, and yoga. I am proud of our law firm and our commitment to the community, as well as a number of professional awards and acknowledgments I have received, including being named a Woman of Influence by the South Sound Business Examiner.
